International Study Trip - Rome 2025

This international study trip took place at the end of Semester 2 of the Academic Year 2024/2025 as part of the BSc Economics and BSc Economics and Management degree at the University of Sussex Business School. The four-day educational experience in Rome offered students valuable exposure to international economic institutions and current global economic challenges.

Students visited Sapienza University, where they attended a lecture titled "What is Wrong with Globalisation?" The cohort also visited the Italian Confederation of Craft Trades and SMEs (C.N.A.), gaining insights into how small businesses navigate economic pressures and contribute to Italy's distinctive economic landscape. Through discussions with business owners, students observed practical applications of economic theories.

Additionally, students toured the Food and Agriculture Organisation (F.A.O.) headquarters, where they engaged with economists addressing global food security, market volatility, and sustainable development challenges. This experience highlighted the intersection of economic policy with urgent social and environmental concerns facing international organizations today.
