International Study Trip - Prague 2025

This international study trip took place at the end of Semester 2 of the Academic Year 2024/2025 and was part of the BSc Accounting and Finance and BSc Finance and Technology degrees at the University of Sussex Business School. The trip provided students with a unique opportunity to apply their academic knowledge in an international context and gain insights into financial systems, economic policy, and industrial practices in the Czech Republic.

During the visit, students travelled to Prague, where they attended an academic lecture at Charles University titled “25 Years of Czech Inflation Targeting: The Sunny Days and the Rainy Days”. This session offered valuable insight into the evolution of Czech monetary policy and its impact on the national economy. Students also visited the Czech National Bank, where they explored the role of central banking in economic stability.

In addition, the group toured the Škoda Automobile Factory, gaining first-hand exposure to modern manufacturing systems and just-in-time supply chain operations.
