Management and Strategy for Technology and Innovation
This course gives an introduction to the essential tools needed to manage the process of ensuring that R&D activities turn into successful products, processes and services which deliver significant value.
The IfM’s established technology and innovation management approaches can help to see this through to success by drawing on time-tested, evidence-based approaches from Institute for Manufacturing (IfM) experts.
The unique aspect of this course is the interaction between the module leaders from the IfM with the delegates who attend from different disciplines, opening up cross-industry perspectives on shared management challenges. Delegates network with and learn directly from leading IfM researchers, as well as with fellow learners from different industries and backgrounds.
Each module is led by an IfM expert who brings with them both academic and applied experience from their respective discipline. The module topics are brought to life through a mix of lectures, discussions, cases and practical group activities.
Topics covered include:
Frameworks for analysing the impact of change at the technology, industry and market levels.
