Champion for Change Award
The Champion for Change Award recognises students who have demonstrated a commitment to making a positive impact in their communities. Through activities that build social awareness, critical thinking and a deeper understanding of societal issues, students explore how individual actions can drive meaningful change. To earn the award, students complete at least one e-learning course from topics such as intersectionality and inclusion, sustainability, social enterprise, or volunteering with social impact – with the option to deepen their learning through additional courses. These experiences align with King’s Vision 2029, encouraging active citizenship and global responsibility.
The award is part of King’s Edge – a hub of extracurricular opportunities that prepare students for success beyond university. By engaging with King’s Edge, students build real-world skills in a social and supportive environment, gaining the insight and practical experience needed to stand out in the labour market and thrive as thoughtful, values-driven professionals.
