UCD Graduate Certificate in Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship

This Certificate of Completion is awarded to students who have successfully completed the Graduate Certificate in Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship. This UCD accredited, Level 9, 35 ECTS programme supports learners to: • Develop a growth mindset that enables creative confidence, entrepreneurial thinking, and resilience. • Hone and develop creative thinking, collaborative problem solving, communication and presentation skills, team work and networking skills. • Use prototyping and pitching skills to solve real-world problems. • Acquire a toolkit that helps validate and execute new ideas using key business tools and frameworks, including Design Thinking, Value Proposition Design and the Lean Start-up Methodology. • Work in multidisciplinary teams and gain exposure to new perspectives and alternative skill sets. • Adopt an Entrepreneurial Mindset which includes comfort with risk, opportunity recognition, adaptability, future orientation, initiative, resilience and self-direction. • Develop business models for new ventures. • Build a network with a global community of innovators and entrepreneurs who have the skills to lead change in organisations and start new ones. Earners have successfully participated in the following learning modules: • Creative and Innovative Thinking: Exploring creativity and innovation through tasks, techniques and discussion including idea creation and selection, evolving innovative ideas in multidisciplinary teams, translating ideas into value creation and participating in hosted projects with real-world enterprise partners. • Entrepreneurial Thinking and Innovation: Including opportunity recognition and generation, developing and executing a structured plan to move ideas from the creative ideas stage through evaluation and realisation of the new venture; problem solving and articulating a new venture proposal. • Entrepreneurial Career Planning: Including career coaching, personal development of skill sets and future planning. Participants develop their own personal career or venture plan.
