The Branding for Start Ups Short Course aims to help start-ups and entrepreneurs build the foundations for an engaging and compelling brand that will capture their customers’ minds and engage audiences.
The course combines practical and theoretical learning to guide students on how to create their own start-up ‘branding toolkit’. Students gain an understanding of brand strategy principles and the process of branding.
The course covers several topics including strategic brand positioning, verbal branding, tone of voice, brand naming, logo creation, graphic branding and basic principles of customer experience.
By the end of the course, students will:
• Have started to build the premises for a strong and effective brand for their start-up business
• Have identified their brand’s core values and purpose and defined its personality, essence and brand story
• Have defined their brand positioning, brand promise, mission and vision
• Have investigated the power of words, verbal branding, brand storytelling and strategic messages to promote their business
• Begin to have ideas on how to build effective brand communication and engaging content as well as how to create compelling conversations, facilitate good customer experiences and foster strong bonds with an audience
