Experimental Fashion Drawing Short Course

The Experimental Fashion Drawing Short Course explores the many approaches to choose from when illustrating fashion. The course looks at the different methods of drawing and viewing the human figure, with emphasis placed on showing movement and expression. Students learn to sketch and draw from a live model and experiment with a variety of media and applications for their work, such as charcoal, oil pastels, watercolour, gouache paint etc. The course also introduces mood boarding and creating collage to develop ideas. By the end of the course, students should have an improved confidence in both their drawing ability and their ability to form their own creative responses to design briefs.
