Bag design is one of the most exciting areas of the fashion market today. The Bag Making Short Course is designed to inspire students with a love for handbags. The Bag Making Short Course guides students through the process of researching concepts and designing and developing final ideas. Students come to the course with a selection of ideas for their designs (e.g. pictures, colours, textures and fabric samples) and technicians help students bring their design ideas to life. During the course, students investigate suitable fabric and fittings and practice cutting from a pattern. They will also have an introduction to basic sewing skills on industrial machines.
