The Womenswear Pattern Cutting Short Course introduces students to the basic techniques for womenswear pattern cutting.
During the course, students work from a standard size 12 template (block) and investigate how to make a range of pattern pieces for the bodice, skirt and sleeve.
The course covers several topics including collars, sleeves, bodice, skirts and waistbands. Students have the opportunity to discuss different styles and learn how patterns can be altered to create different shapes.
