Introduction to Experience Design Online Short Course
Martina Bonino
Students on the Introduction to Experience Design Online Short Course learn how to use design, spatial and behavioural strategies to design and project the experience they want their brand, product or service to deliver.
Experience design is a set of design practices focused on creating positive emotions, impressions and memories which create an impact on the target audiences. It can be applied to services, products, user journeys, spaces, and events.
During the course, students learn a new set of concepts, tools and techniques every week. Students are assigned a practical project which is designed to enable them to put their learning into practice.
The course offers an introduction to the design of experiences and covers several topics including perception and illusion, designing memories and experiences for users and clients, and the relevance of experience in a digital world.
By the end of the course, students have conducted a social and technological environment analysis as well as visual research on behavioural patterns. Students will also have an understanding of the structure of a positive vs a negative experience and have created a project which may be added to a portfolio and presented to potential clients.
