Fashion London Short Course

The Fashion London Short Course explores the city as a source of inspiration, encouraging students to seek research opportunities and clothing references to develop their own work and identity as a fashion creative. Through studio sessions, group discussion and individual tutorials, students discover and understand London fashion and its position in fashion today. The course uncovers key areas where young London fashion designers seek inspiration from. Students will undertake self-directed research into contemporary and emerging designers, labels, and collections, as well as the London retail scene to build a presentation of their ideas. Topics covered include: Exploring contemporary fashion London Developing visual research skills Understanding how research informs the design process and the creative identity Exploring street style and subculture influences Developing visual communication and presentation skills
