Students on the Introduction to Inclusive Design Online Short Course learn about inclusive design practices in a range of practical contexts.
During the course, students learn how to design for accessibility and inclusion and expand their knowledge of participatory design and inclusivity. The course explores a range of inclusive design principles, and looks at the difference between lead users and extreme users to ensure customers are satisfied.
The course covers a number of relevant topics including inclusive design, exclusion, mismatches, stakeholder mapping, systems mapping, design and emotion and participatory design.
By the end of the course, students will have an understanding of:

• Participatory design
• Inclusive design and climate change
