Forecasting trends is a key part of marketing and design strategies in the fashion and textiles industries. The Fashion And Textile Forecasting Short Course covers forecasting of fashion and textile concepts and introduces students to a working perspective of the fashion industry.
During the course, students look at events and information, and through group discussion, analyse and define trends with improving confidence.
Students have the opportunity to experiment with visual research and presentation techniques and work on a series of individual work projects. These projects are designed to help students develop forecast concept boards, which include personal inspiration and trade research, with fabric, colour and garment direction.
