Foundations of Education Sector Planning

The Foundations of Education Sector Planning Programme was held from 6 September 2023 to 27 February 2024 in a fully online mode. Certificate of Successful Completion is awarded to participants who successfully completed three courses: Course 1: Educational Planning Today, Course 2: Educational Sector Policies and Course 3: Educational Data and Indicators. The programme provides participants with the fundamentals of educational planning. Upon successful completion of the programme, participants should be able to: (1) Analyse the main theories and international commitments that shape education policy and planning; (2) Advocate for key policies that address the most pressing education challenges; and (3) Calculate and interpret key education indicators for the analysis of major dimensions in educational planning. Participants spent an average of 160 hours on course-related work.
