UCD Undergraduate Module | Social Entrepreneurship

This Entrepreneurship for Social Good Badge is awarded to students who have successfully completed the Social Entrepreneurship module at the UCD Innovation Academy. This UCD accredited 5 ECTS undergraduate module supports learners to: • Explore social entrepreneurship and the variety of contexts within which social ventures are launched • Critically evaluate and assess the motivational drivers and decision-making processes behind the development of social ventures • Examine the potential for social ventures in relation to one’s discipline or specific interests • Learn how to design and launch social ventures by combining skills in creativity, innovation and entrepreneurial thinking • Develop an understanding of how social ventures can be evaluated Earners have successfully participated in the following learning modules: • Active/task-based learning • Real-world challenges set by host organisations • Peer and Group work • Giving and Receiving Feedback • Reflective Learning • Enquiry & Problem-based learning • Student Presentations
