Studio Photography Short Course

On the Studio Photography Short Course, students experience the practice of shooting in a professional photographic studio to gain more experience and confidence, which will benefit and improve their overall photography skills and knowledge. During the course, students learn to use a photo studio and studio lights to take more considered professional pictures and advance their practice by learning the fundamentals of studio photography. Students are introduced to the different studio lights commonly used in most professional studios and learn how to manipulate light using techniques to achieve creative results. Students use the still-life studios and equipment to create their own shots and have the opportunity to work in the full-length studios using the lights to take portraits. By the end of the course, students should have: • developed new skills • experienced life on campus • had the chance to network and share ideas with students from across the globe • received feedback and critique on assignments
