Expressive Painting Short Course

On the Expressive Painting Short Course students experience the creative power of self-expression. Students complete a series of visual exercises in response to a theme. The exercises are designed to accelerate their understanding of essential elements in the creative process. During the course, students learn about composition, texture and the value of colour in abstract, figurative and surreal forms. Various techniques relating to surface, texture, depth and use of colour are demonstrated. By the end of the course, students will be able to recognise their creative strength, sustain concentration, trust their vision and express their imagination with confidence through technique, form, and colour. Students learn to unlock and connect to the creative power of their mind.
