Couture Tailoring CSM Short Course

On the Couture Tailoring CSM Short Course students learn about the high-end of fashion making. The course focuses on the production of a quality couture garment and guides students on the specialist skills that are necessary for a couture tailored garment. During the course, students work on half couture jacket and work through the different steps of construction using a combination of hand stitching and machine-sewing skills. This includes pad stitching, edge finishes, collar application, pocket insertion, hand canvassing and facings. By the end of the course, students should have developed a reference file containing notes and illustrations of the different stages covered in their practical work.
