Renovate and Decorate Short Course

The Renovate and Decorate Short Course is designed to help students learn the essential steps to plan and manage a home decoration project. Students learn a range of simple methods to develop a design concept and effectively translate this into a workable, functional and stylish home design. During the Renovate and Decorate Short Course, students learn how to use colour, lighting, materials and finishes when re-decorating a home and as well as how to work with builders and tradespeople. The course covers several topics including an overview of the design process, planning and elevations, furnishings, sourcing and sample boards, materials and finishes, and project management. By the end of the course, students have an understanding of the key design processes and steps involved in decorating and renovating a residential interior. Students also have the confidence to successfully plan a home design project and know how to take the necessary steps to create the desired environment.
