The six program modules were specifically selected to prepare the next generation of maritime leaders as they face a wave of changes in the industry.
1. A CHANGING MARITIME INDUSTRY - provided insight into the changing industry conditions for the maritime industry, including emerging opportunities and potential challenges. It delved into the dynamics of competition and collaboration, equipping participants with the knowledge needed to strategically navigate their leadership journey.
2. STRATEGIC WORK – with an internal perspective to strategy, the participants learned about strategic choices, how to work with strategy under uncertainty and how to create value through business models.
3. THE TRANSITION TO GREEN – provided an overview of challenges related to the transition to green. The challenges were analyzed from different angles, like technology, regulatory and leadership to provide the broad set of skills needed.
4. STRATEGIC DIGITALIZATION – provided an understanding of the opportunities and threats of digitalization. Participants learned how to identify and approach technology evolution and disruption, including a basic understanding of data science and machine learning, as well as topics like cybersecurity and digital ethics.
5. DIVERSITY - explored how diversity works in real life, how to succeed and how to communicate to achieve a desired change.
6. INNOVATION, LEADERSHIP AND CHANGE MANAGEMENT – the module explored the triad of innovation, leadership, and change management as a holistic approach to drive growth and transformation. The participants learned to identify and nurture promising business ideas, and also how to lead effectively, inspire their teams, and foster a culture of innovation. Participants learned about strategic trade-offs and how to be attractive to employees and drive change.
