Fashion Design Intensive Short Course

The Fashion Design Intensive Short Course is designed to cover all the key elements of Introduction to Fashion Design alongside more advanced fashion design and fashion drawing techniques. The course offers an introduction to the principles of fashion design and concentrates on the development of ideas from well explored research. Students gain an insight into a number of key topics including fabric awareness, mood boards, the fashion design process, draping techniques and colour. During the course, students explore how to develop a colour palette through an awareness of current trends and predictions, as well as how to select appropriate fabrics for the market / designs. Students learn how to communicate their design ideas in a creative and logical way and discover how to build a fashion collection that is well balanced and innovative. By the end of the course, students will have had the opportunity to network and share ideas with other students and received feedback on assignments.
