The Interior Design Module Three Short Course is the final part of the three-part interior design module short course programme. Students build on the knowledge gained in Module One and Module Two.
During the course, students choose their own live project for an existing client, or an imaginary commercial project of their choice such as a boutique hotel, shop or residential property. Students work through the project with tutor support and guidance.
A series of lectures provide students with the practical and professional knowledge needed to prepare for work as an interior designer. Topics covered include working with contractors, planning issues, setting up a business and lighting and electric plans. Students also gain an understanding of how to charge and write specifications.
By the end of the course, students will have the skills and knowledge to take an interior design project from the initial client brief to appointing a builder. They will also have an understanding of how to work with trades people and set up or studio or find work in interior design.
