Fashion Folio

Fashion Folio is an intensive short course where students work to produce their own industry-standard portfolio of work through extensive visual research, experimentation, and idea development. Students start by learning to develop their practical and technical skills, and how to visually communicate their ideas through various methodologies, including fashion drawing and illustration, collage and mood-boarding. In stage 2 of the course, students expand their research skills and learn how to develop, sustain and communicate a concept that is both original and meaningful. They work on refining the technical skills they learnt earlier in the course and delve deeper into research development, exploring contextual and critical referencing methods. The final stage focuses on the refinement and content of the students’ portfolio and how to select work suitable for application to either undergraduate, postgraduate or career progression. During this part of the course, students are expected to present their final portfolio and talk about their concept and designs.
