Digital Photography Intensive Online Short Course

The Digital Photography Intensive Online Short Course has been designed for students who wish to have greater creative control over their equipment and develop an awareness of the essential picture making skills applicable to the medium. Through lectures and workshops students explore both the creative and technical possibilities of their camera as they learn how to use the various settings and functions by responding to briefs. Teaching is supplemented by slide lectures on historical and contemporary artwork which explore the aesthetics of photography. On completion of the course students have covered: Basic camera operation Focus control File quality (JPG vs. RAW) Exposure and light meters Composition and framing techniques Creative use of shutter speeds and apertures How to use a flash and filters
