Graphic Novels and Comic Book Art Short Course

The Graphic Novels and Comic Book Art Short Course offers an engaging introduction to the process of creating graphic novel-style sequential art. The course covers a number of topics including story development, storyboarding, page layout design, inking, lettering and colouring. During the course, students explore a range of styles and techniques including an introduction to efficient, high-quality digital methods using Adobe Photoshop. Students gain a grounding in scene composition, page design and character creation for comic books. Students leave the course with a finished page strip of comic book art.
