MODULE 1 - EDUCATIONAL PLANNING TODAY

This IIEP ESP Module 1 Participation badge is awarded to participants who have completed in a timely manner all of the required activities and assessments in the first module of the Foundations of Education Sector Planning course. This credential recognizes activity and module completion, but does not relate to achieved grades. Module 1 - Educational Planning Today addresses the theoretical framework for educational planning as a field of study, explores the development theories that shape its practice today, examines the notion of strategic planning, and invites participants to reflect on their own practice as planners. Participants also delve into the international education aid architecture and the Education 2030 Agenda, and their influence on policy priorities in national education plans, and are given opportunities to analyse their own country’s education plans. The module required approximately 25-30 hours of learning effort, using a large variety of learning activities and resources, and was delivered fully online over a two-week period in January, 2022.
