The Cool Hunting Fashion Short Course introduces students to the contemporary landscape of fashion trend predictions. The course examines the art and science of trend predictions and students learn about the emergence of trends, methodologies and factors influencing global fashion trends. Through a combination of online and contextual research, street photography, critical analysis, reading and field trips, students devise and complete a speculative visual trend report, identifying an emerging global fashion trend. The course covers several topics including cool hunting, fashion trend predictions and forecasting, research methodologies, street style photography and visual trend reports.
