User Interface UI and Visual Design Online Short Course
Simon Lewis
The User Interface UI and Visual Design Online Short Course provides students with the skills, tools and processes needed to become a UI designer.
Students learn how to analyse a creative brief, create mood boards and apply design theory principles to compelling user interfaces. The course is designed to help students gain the in-depth experience and skills needed to succeed as a user interface/visual designer.
The course covers a range of topics including gestalt principles in UI design, web typography, colour, layout, UI and navigation patterns, and hi-fidelity prototypes. Students also gain an understanding of how to develop wireframes of low, mid, and high-fidelity, before finalising the user interface.
By the end of the course, students should be able to incorporate basic principles of user experience (UX) design to determine and solve challenging user interface (UI) problems. They should also be able to develop wireframes and create clickable hi-fidelity prototypes of intuitive websites and apps.
