The Contemporary Textile Collage Embroidery Short Course teaches students how to transfer any illustrations in contemporary embroidery. Exploring how to collage with fabric, source unusual supplies, basic and advanced embroidery stitch, paint with textile markers. Students discover how to develop fashion illustrations and their ideas in unusual contemporary embroidery onto dress collections or interior design pieces. Through practical workshops, the course covers: • How to find and collage illustrations and how to develop them in embroidery • Transfer images on fabric and montage them on rectangular tambour. Basic and advanced embroidery techniques with thread, plastic, wool, all unusual materials, collage with fabric • Developing a study on portrait. Proportions, human face elements, shadows and light. Realization of two big embroidery pieces: portrait and vegetables/fruits. Every student can realise individual projects.
