Typography Short Course

The Typography Short Course is designed to help students find confidence in their typographic voice. During the course, students learn the fundamental typographic elements and principles and how to use them effectively and creatively. Students have the opportunity to explore ideas visually through projects embracing typography as both information and art. The course covers strategies for working with different kinds of texts, content analysis and typefaces. By the end of the course, students should have an awareness of how the visual manipulation of words can bring great insight into text functions, enhance clarity and produce successful visual communication.
