On the Creative Writing For Beginners Short Course, students explore the basic elements of creative writing.
The course is taught by an industry expert through in-class exercises, take-home assignments, readings, workshopping and plenty of constructive feedback.
Students leave the course with some wonderful pieces of writing under their belts as well as practical advice and notes on how to get their work out into the world.
The course focuses on fiction (short stories and longer prose) as well as narrative non-fiction (memoir and essays). The aim is to help students flex their writing muscles and find their writing voices in a fun, focused and supportive environment.
By the end of the course students will have:
• Developed their writing portfolio
• Gained advice on getting their work seen
