Silkscreen Printing Short Course

The Silkscreen Printing Short Course guides students through a series of taught techniques, from the fundamental paper stencil to the more sophisticated full-colour digital and photographic screen prints. The course is designed to equip students with a successful and confident working knowledge of this print process. The focus is on experimentation whilst laying down the foundations for solid printmaking. The Silkscreen Printing Short Course covers a range of topics including hand rendered positives, coating and exposing screens, diverse aspects to printing, colour and registration. By the end of the course, students should have: • A diverse range of screen prints • The ability to print to a good/high standard • A set of practical handouts covering all the components covered in the course • Practical knowledge of the complete cycle of screenprinting
