Graphic Design Short Course

On the Graphic Design Short Course students learn how to produce original, successful design concepts and create work that stands out from the crowd. Students are encouraged to push their ideas further and take risks to develop a personal voice and style. During the course, students work on a range of design projects with a client focus. The course is designed to help students refine their design practice and build confidence in a self-directed approach. The course covers several topics including typography, branding, publishing, advertising, concept development, colour, logo design, layout, image editing and presentation. By the end of the course, students will have developed their confidence in responding to client design briefs and improved their decision-making process. Students finish the course with artwork for a full colour poster and a body of design work which may be added to a portfolio.
