Graphic Design for 16 to 18 Year Olds Online Short Course

The Graphic Design for 16 to 18 Year Olds Online Short Course explores the world of visual communication. Students leave with a body of design work and new-found skills that can be put towards building a design portfolio. Through a series of engaging workshops, students experiment with a range of hands-on materials and processes. The course covers a range of topics including, collage, letter form generation, magazine layout, editorial, poster design, marketing, advertising and mixed media. During the course, students develop their drawing and printmaking skills and explore typography and photography. By experimenting with a selection of materials, students have the opportunity to find new ways of expressing and communicating their ideas. Students are encouraged to develop their work through brainstorming and visual research and will finish the course with an understanding of the possibilities offered by working in the area of graphic design.
