Fashion History and Styling

Fashion History holds significant relevance in the world of styling and design. It intricately intertwines with the creative process, where themes are meticulously researched, and narratives are woven through the manipulation of colours, textures, and shapes. In a mere colour, texture, or subtle embellishment, one can evoke nostalgia, cultural nuances, or entire eras. From the pioneering work of Madeleine Vionnet to the enduring legacy of Chanel today, this course delves into the influential brands that have shaped the fashion landscape. It will include teaching and practical workshops with the Central Saint Martins (CSM) Archive and Fashion and Textiles Lecturer.
