The Consumer Trends for Fashion Retail Online Short Course provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to analyse consumer trends and behaviour within fashion, retail and hospitality.
The course explores how current and future consumer behaviour trends stem from basic human nature. Students develop an understanding of how trends develop, and how they manifest in consumer decisions and experiences.
During the course, students expand their knowledge by examining some of the world’s best fashion brands and exploring how they respond to trends.
The course covers several topics and trends including sustainability, wellbeing, community and the application of consumer behaviour trends in accordance to human nature.
By the end of the course, students will have a better understanding of:
• Human drivers of trend adoption
• Trend development cycle
• Key consumer behaviour trends in retail, luxury, hospitality and other consumer industries
• How brands are currently dealing with sustainability, wellbeing, experience and community trends
• How a brand should authentically respond to the key consumer behaviour trends
