Bag Design Online Short Course

The Bag Design Online Short Course offers students the opportunity to develop their love of handbags as they learn what is involved in the design process and gain an insight into the bag industry. During the course, students discover what is involved creatively in each of the different stages of the design process, from research through to design and the development of a final idea. They will also learn about new materials and current trends in bags, including developments in sustainability and technology. The course covers trend research, storyboards, material research and fittings, and working drawings. Students are also introduced to prototyping and spec sheets. By the end of the course, students will have learnt how to focus and present their creative ideas and have some idea of where to go next.
