Surovi Dey Dhupar
The Design Thinking Online Short Course offers an introduction to using design thinking to formulate great ideas, products and businesses.
Students develop their knowledge through a combination of case studies, class discussions and hands-on assignments. The course provides a variety of tools, activities and real examples with the aim of boosting design thinking abilities. Students explore how to understand the end-user better in order to create innovative products and services.
During the course, students gain an insight into the importance of the end-users' perspective in launching or revitalizing a new or existing business.
By the end of the course students will have:
• Identified and assessed opportunities through customer needs analysis
• Created a clear set of product specifications based on customer needs that are desirable, feasible, and viable
• Implemented a proven 4-step method for planning and executing a prototype for a product, service, or business idea
• Used observational techniques to gain a deeper understanding of end-user insights
• Generated ideas while determining which ones are likely to produce specific, desired outcomes
• Defined their minimum viable product
• Developed a prototype in line with chosen demographics needs
• Created a portfolio of options
