Fashion Styling And Communication for 16 to 18 Year Olds Short Course

The Fashion Styling And Communication for 16 to 18 Year Olds Short Courses offers an introduction to styling for fashion and contemporary magazine shoots. This week-long course introduces students to styling, promotion, creative direction and image-making for fashion. Students learn about contemporary magazine shoots, digital media, genres and key creators of fashion imaging. They also gain an insight into the possibilities of further study in this area (fashion communication, promotion and other related areas) and find out more about careers such as stylist and creative director. During the course, students are introduced to research methodologies, teamwork, set and prop building, working with models, photographers and location scouting. They complete a range of daily tasks and build a body of work that can contribute to portfolio building and preparation for further study. Students also learn to document, photograph and present work. This is a non-accredited UALSC specifically designed as part of our kids and teenagers portfolio.
