Anatomical Drawing For Beginners Short Course
Hours studied 25

Ryo Sasaki
The Anatomical Drawing For Beginners Short Course introduces students to the basics of anatomical drawing and the fundamentals of figure drawing.
During the course, students work on traditional life drawing skills to create convincing representations of the three-dimensional form of the body. In the process, students learn how to tackle the challenges this presents and discover how an awareness of anatomy can be helpful.
The course covers several topics including observation skills, measuring and dealing with light and shade. Students also gain an insight into how to handle proportion and add depth to their drawings.
By the end of the course, students will have had the opportunity to practise drawing from a full-size model skeleton and study prepared drawings and diagrams. They will also have networked with other students and received feedback on assignments.
