Fashion Design and Draping Workshops for 16 to 18 Year Olds Short Course

The Fashion Design and Draping Workshops for 16 to 18 Year Olds Short Course is designed to offer students an experience of fashion as taught at Central Saint Martins. Students develop confidence in experimentation, idea generation and creativity as well as building on their technical skills as they explore what it takes to become a fashion designer. They will learn about the different career options in the fashion industry and have the opportunity to develop a fashion sketchbook and fashion collection. During the course, students gain an understanding of several topics, including research and idea generation, fashion illustration, presentation skills and working in 3D. The tutor will also offer feedback on how to use the work produced in portfolios. By the end of the course, students will have gained new skills that will help them to continue designing their own collections, illustrating, documenting research and thought processes and putting together marketing boards. This is a non-accredited UALSC specifically designed as part of our kids and teenagers portfolio.
