UAL International Summer School for 16 to 18 year olds Short Course

The UAL International Summer School for 16 to 18 Year Olds Short Course is an intensive three-week summer course designed to provide an introduction to art college at UAL. During the course, students create work inspired by London’s rich cultural and social diversity through a series of art and design projects. Topics covered include research, art and design, graphic design, theatre and performance, fashion and textiles, and 3D design. Students will be helped to build and create work for a portfolio for university application. Through a series of informal discussion and critiques with tutors and peers, students grow in confidence and learn to appreciate conceptual development through a range of perspectives and skills. In this way, students create a range of new work and experiment with scale, texture and colour via the mediums of drawing, sketching, mark-making, design, 2D and 3D collage and modelling. This is a non-accredited UALSC specifically designed as part of our kids and teenagers portfolio.
