On the Video Journalism Short Course, students learn how to plan, shoot and edit video stories using both cameras and phones.
Video journalism can be used effectively to attract viewers and grip their attention quickly and efficiently. This course teaches students how to plan, shoot, edit and upload video stories for websites, using both cameras and phones.
The course has an emphasis on digital storytelling rather than traditional TV and offers professional video techniques to enhance web projects.
By the end of this course, students should be able to:
• Shoot well-framed, quality video with good sound
• Edit material together using professional editing software
• Successfully embed their finished product online
