Experimental Jewellery Short Course

The Experimental Jewellery Short Course guides students through the process of creating modern, unusual jewellery using contemporary materials. During the course, students undertake several projects to produce a range of pieces that explore different techniques. The course explores how to combine precious and non-precious materials, including resin, acrylic, silver and found objects. The Experimental Jewellery Short Course covers a range of topics, including working with clear resin, coloured dyes and embedded objects and heat-forming techniques with acrylic. Students also learn about wire work by working on a project using fused silver wire and constructing three dimensional forms by wrapping and twisting.
