The Experimental Jewellery Short Course guides students through the process of creating modern, unusual jewellery using contemporary materials.
During the course, students undertake several projects to produce a range of pieces that explore different techniques. The course explores how to combine precious and non-precious materials, including resin, acrylic, silver and found objects.
The Experimental Jewellery Short Course covers a range of topics, including working with clear resin, coloured dyes and embedded objects and heat-forming techniques with acrylic.
Students also learn about wire work by working on a project using fused silver wire and constructing three dimensional forms by wrapping and twisting.
